Monthly Professional Development Meetings: If you are a Premium Plus Member, Monthly educational meetings are part of your ISM - Central Indiana membership.  For all other membership types these meetings are available for an additional fee.  These meetings include topics that relate to today's supply chain/leadership issues and activities. You can gain valuable contacts within your community during these monthly meetings and educational functions. We meet monthly from September to May.  Each meeting is a low cost way to earn continuing education hours towards your professional certification or recertification.

2. Certification: ISM offers several universally-recognized professional designations:

  • CPSM, Certified Professional in Supply Management

  • CPSD, Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity

Members receive discounts on exams and study materials. ISM - Central Indiana offers these classes twice a year.

3. Educational Seminars: Enhance your professional development and job performance when you enroll in ISM seminars taught by experienced instructors. ISM- Central Indiana is also offering economical educational classes for members and non-members throughout the year on various topics such as Strategic Sourcing, Negotiations, Lean Manufacturing, etc.  Please look at our schedule to find classes and fees associated with these courses.  If you are interested in hosting an educational class on site at your company please contact us at customerservice@ismcentralindiana.org directly.  There must be a minimum of 5 people enrolled for any class and 10 people enrolled for any private onsite class at your company.

4. Affiliate Newsletters: Featuring insightful and relevant topics in our local affiliate area.

5. Monthly Magazine: Inside Supply Management is our monthly magazine that contains national and international information on new trends and developments in the profession plus insightful "how-to" articles. The magazine is published exclusively for ISM Members.

6. Scholarships: Our affiliate promotes higher education in the supply management field by awarding annual scholarships and/or board internships to student members and dependents of members.

7. ISM Members-Only web site: A web based area providing job-related information to purchasing and materials management professionals. Only members have access to this site which includes: the national employment database, many purchasing-related tools & articles, and discussion forums for researching and benchmarking.
